The Fall Down Seven Times Get Up 8 Charm, is intended as an amulet to have faith in yourself, learn from your mistakes and to get up and try again, good things don't come easily! It comes with a little note inside it's Spaceform eliptical box packaging, showing that it is made in Britain and explaining it's intention.
The idea of our charms is inspired by Japanese Omamori, which is traditionally found by Japanese shines, intended to hold a prayer inside. This charm is the most playful of all and something Laura simply made for herself. She told us that, "Turning the charm over and over reveals the two halves of the phrase, "Fall Down 7 times, get up 8" and helps me focus on changing my perspective so I can keep trying even when I want to give up."
Made of laser cut sheet acrylic, the red flower element fits perfectly inside the slender acrylic box with a lid that spins open. When you turn the charm one way and the other the counter falls to one side to reveal the message on the other side. You can also thread a cord through the hole if your wish to tie it to the handle of your bag or hang it by your bedside on a hook if you prefer.
