A way to thank Boris Johnson and the MOPAC team

12 April 2016

I feel really proud to say that Stephen Greenhalgh, London's Deputy Mayor of Policing and Crime and the former Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham, is my brother. He has always been interested in politics, and at the breakfast table or dinner when Dad had some time would always discuss current affairs with my parents.  It was unsurprising to me that he chose to focus on London politics, as long as he felt he could effect change, and make a difference.

This guts and gusto, the level of energy and work ethic has always been an inspiration.  Whether you agree or disagree with his politics, one has to admire his gumption.  In my opinion, he has affected positive change whenever he has put his mind to something.  He isn't fluffy or refuses to play to the gallery, but he is so clever, his mind is vast and with this tool he also possesses an incredible integrity and has a heart as deep as a well.  The world of politics is brutal, and I dont mean the people in it, I mean the way we readily criticise people who stick their necks out to try make things better...

Stephen can walk to Spaceform from his home, which is wonderful, as his three kiddies are a blast and it makes it easy for me to pop in!

He came in on Friday and picked up a gold star token and had the idea that he wanted us to engrave the MOPAC logo and "Gold Star Award... Thank You" on to the token.  He wanted 10 to hand out to his colleagues including Boris Johnson who appointed him and his team of MOPAC Advisers.

We were thrilled!

I was most thrilled, he really gets Spaceform and what we can do and he was proud to present it to his team which I must say, tickled me pink as MY BRO asked everyone to stand holding the Tokens up so everyone, far and wide, could see what it was they had been given... STEPHEN you are a superstar.
